About the owner
Brent Shoffner has specialized knowledge and a passion for machine design and efficiency solutions.  He is experienced with the use of microcontrollers and sensor systems as well as industrial robotic systems integration.

Through his career he has had the opportunity to work with a number of different companies.  One of the most memorable was working with laser rangefinder OEM companies to develop custom solutions for a geo-locating camera system with stringent weight, size and power specifications.  This project allowed Brent to expand his knowledge of information and graphical overlay onto video screens and soldier worn monocles.

In addition, Brent develops very advanced custom testing machines that are used for Non-Destructive Inspection.  His involvement and work with these testing machine systems include the design, implementation of sensor systems and fabrication and integration of specialized equipment. Systems range from a six-axis x-ray manipulators for inspection of turbine fuel injectors to flatbed gantry scanners for aerospace composite part testing.

Brent has been able to incorporate a vast array of designs to fit end user's application and need. Integration of industrial robots has increased the flexibility and efficiency of various testing machine systems.

Brent Shoffner received a B.S. and an M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University. Throughout his time he developed a passion for creating efficient solutions while working at the Applied Research Laboratory supporting a number of different DoD projects.
